Our Wildlife Removal Process

1
Inspection

We identify the species, entry points, and extent of any damage or nesting inside the structure.

2
Trapping or Exclusion Device

Live traps are set for raccoons, squirrels, and groundhogs. One-way exclusion devices are used for bats during exclusion season.

3
Entry Point Sealing

After all animals are removed, entry points are sealed with heavy-gauge hardware cloth, metal flashing, or foam to prevent re-entry.

4
Damage Assessment

We assess any insulation damage, contamination, or structural damage and can coordinate or perform repairs.

Wildlife Removal by City

Our local pros understand the unique conditions of your city — climate, home types, and seasonal challenges.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I have animals in my attic?
Scratching, scurrying, or thumping sounds — especially at night (raccoons, opossums) or early morning (squirrels). Odors, visible droppings, and finding disturbed insulation are also signs.
Can I remove wildlife myself?
Some wildlife (groundhogs, squirrels) can be handled with store-bought traps. However, raccoons can be aggressive, bats are protected by law in most states and require permitted specialists, and improper handling poses disease and legal risks.
Why can't bats just be killed?
Bats are protected by state and federal law in most areas due to their ecological importance. They must be excluded rather than killed. Exclusion must be done outside of maternity season (typically June–August) when flightless pups are present.
Do I need to clean my attic after raccoon removal?
Often yes. Raccoons create latrines in attics, and raccoon roundworm (Baylisascaris) is present in their feces. Contaminated insulation must be properly removed and replaced.
