Crawl Space Encapsulation
Open crawl spaces allow moisture, mold, pests, and cold air into your home from below. Encapsulation seals the crawl space with a heavy-duty vapor barrier and improves ventilation or conditioning, creating a clean, dry space.
Why Professional Crawl Space Encapsulation?
Our Crawl Space Encapsulation Process
We inspect the crawl space for existing moisture, mold, insulation condition, and structural issues to develop a complete encapsulation plan.
Existing vapor barrier (if any) is removed, debris is cleared, existing insulation may be removed and replaced, and any mold is treated.
A heavy-duty (20 mil+) polyethylene liner is installed across the floor and up the walls, sealed at seams and to the foundation walls with tape and adhesive.
A dehumidifier, conditioned air supply, or exhaust fan is installed depending on whether the space will be conditioned or ventilated.
